My experience on Enhancing skills in Investments Management Domain can be explain by my experience, as I'm Business Analyst for Investments & Assets Management Domain, when I joined the company 3 years ago [2006], I didn't posses any domain knowledge, but by reading books, working with domain oriented TEAM I have polished my skills significantly in very short period.
Other than that, one should read books on Security Trading, Mutual Funds Management to enhance domain knowledge.
Action Items:
In order to enhance your skills on Investment Management Domain or any domain, start working with and on the project of relevant domain, and try to think on business requirement out of the box, it will help you to understand the scenario more easily.
